Nancy Jane Isenberg passed away, surrounded by loved ones, on Wednesday August 16th, 2023. Jane is reunited in death with her beloved husband, Steven Lex Isenberg of Alexandria, PA. She is also preceded in death by her cherished mother, Nancy Jane Riley and grandparents Elva Mae and Charles Noah Bare, as well as her eldest stepson, Steven Nathan “Nate” Isenberg. She is survived by her daughter, Kairann Smutz, stepson Nicolas Isenberg, sisters Alanna Patterson and Teresa Luckenbaugh, three nieces, eight nephews, four grandsons and three great-grandchildren. Jane was an adoring wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend. She was a devout Christian of the Lutheran denomination. Jane was born in York, PA and graduated from Tyrone High School in 1973. She was a long-time resident of Tyrone and employee of Westvaco and Appleton Papers who enjoyed the company of her colleagues and challenges of her work. Jane was a talented painter and mixed-media artist, known for her creativity and skilled craftsmanship across many mediums. She was also known for her sense of humor, caring nature, relentless positivity and love of animals, especially her many precious family pets through the years. As part of her final wishes, Jane wanted her many friends to know how much she treasured them and that she will miss their companionship dearly. In lieu of flowers, Jane requested that donations be made to her favorite animal rescues such as Happy Paws Happy Homes, Tri-State Weimaraner Rescue and Nittany Beagle Rescue. A private celebration of life will be held for family and friends, to be announced at a later date. Jane was beloved by many and will be profoundly missed.
