Maxine D. Bliss

Bliss, Maxine D. (Beatty), 91, Morrisville, passed away on Monday July 14, 2025, at St. Mary Hospital, Langhorn Pennsylvania. Born August 1, 1933, Shirley Township, daughter of the late Oscar and Eva Beatty. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Gerald D. Bliss Sr., whom she married on July 6, 1953, at St. Catherin of Siena Catholic Church in Mount Union. Survived by children Terrance Bliss, Morrisville; Paul Bliss, Levittown; and Maxine Bliss Stone, Yuma Arizona; 2 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by a son, Gerald D. Bliss Jr. Mrs. Bliss was of the Catholic faith and attended St. Catherine of Siene Catholic Church when living in Mount Union. She graduated from Mount Union High School. Mrs. Bliss retired from a career in nursing after 35 years of faithful service. She enjoyed flowers, crocheting, and browsing the internet. Mostly she will be remembered as a homebody. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday July 22, 2025, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon. Interment to follow at St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Shirleysburg.
