McCloskey, Matthew E. "Gooch", 37, Altoona, died April 8, 2017, at UPMC Altoona. Born March 24, 1980, in Altoona, son of Patrick and Susan (Harber) McCloskey. Preceded in death by grandparents, Elda and Joseph Harber and Edgar and Arvilla McCloskey. Survived by fiancAC.e of 12 years, Shannon Walters, and son, Gracesen Matthew McCloskey; parents: Susan and Robert Slebodnick, Holiday, Florida; and Patrick McCloskey, Gallitzin; siblings: Shannon McCloskey, Hollidaysburg; and Kevin Slebodnick (Krista McIntosh), Port Richey, Florida; and nephew and nieces: Jacob McCarthy and Addison McCloskey, Hollidaysburg; and Kelsey Slebodnick, Port Richey, Florida. Also survived by future mother-in-law, Maureen Walters, Altoona, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Enjoyed music, cooking, barbecuing, and friends and family. Family and friends received from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Charles M. Kennedy Funeral Home, Cresson, where vigil for the deceased will be held at 5 p.m. Service by Bill McCloskey will be held at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Basilica of St. Michael, Loretto, Very Rev.
