Zachesky, Mary M., 93, Cresson, passed away Dec. 2, 2015, at the Presbyterian Village, Hollidaysburg. Born Aug. 15, 1922, in Portage, daughter of the late Michael and Helen (Demchak) Mandichak. Preceded in death by husband, Clement "Curly"; son, Raymond "Butch"; great-granddaughter, Faith Jordan Zelaya; son-in-law, Thomas Shultz; sisters, Helen Grunza and Ann Darden; and brothers, Michael, John, George, Joseph and Paul Mandichak. Survived by daughters: Patricia Bowes (Terry), Chesterfield, Va.; Lois "Jeanie" Shultz, Laurel, Md.; and Carol Myers (John), Cresson; daughter-in-law, Judy Zachesky, Cresson; 10 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; and siblings: Andrew and Thomas Mandichak, both of Gallitzin; and Janet Abel, Science, Kentucky. Mary retired from the Ebensburg Center, where she was an aide for special needs individuals. Member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Cresson, and its Legion of Mary. Family and friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Charles M. Kennedy Funeral Home, Cresson, where Legion of Mary will recite the rosary at 3 p.m. followed by vigil for the deceased. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Aloysius Church, Rev. Paul M. Robine. Committal, church cemetery.
