Mary Theresa Wivell

Wivell, Mary Theresa, 65, Cresson, died Dec. 2, 2015, at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh. Born Oct. 15, 1950, in Cresson, daughter of the late Robert W. Sr. and Mary J. (Illig) Gailey. Preceded in death by sister, Josephine. Survived by husband, Stephen, whom she married Oct. 7, 2000; and siblings: Peggy Broad (James M. Sr.); Robert W. Gailey Jr. (Mary Ellen Noland); and Jean Stich (Tina Roberts), all of Cresson; and John Gailey (Cheryl Boling), Camp Hill; also many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Mary retired as residential services aide at Ebensburg Center, after 30 years of service. She was a very giving person, and was always ready to help anyone in need. She loved her family and friends, and bingo. Member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Cresson. Family and friends received from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Charles M. Kennedy Funeral Home, Cresson, where Legion of Mary will recite the rosary at 3 p.m., followed by vigil for the deceased. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Aloysius Church, Rev. Leo Arnone. Committal, church cemetery.
