Mary L. Smith, 64, of Mapleton Depot, passed away on September 1, 2026, at Penn Highlands, Huntingdon. Daughter of the late John and Betty (Reihart) Rourke. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by a brother, John (Jessie) Rourke. Mary is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Smith, Jr.; daughters, Tina Gateau, Kelly Satta; son, Kevin (Kylee) McMullen; brothers, Carl (Betty) Rourke, David Rourke, Sr.; sisters, Patricia (Raymond) Adams, Shirley Jones, Karen Gutheridge; grandsons, Andrew Worthy, Nevin McMullen, Nicolas Gateau, Robert Gateau; granddaughters, Kendra Worthy, Ashlynn Worthy, Jenna Gateau, Elza Gateau, Kyra McMullen, Savanna McMullen; great-grandson, Jason Kramer; great-granddaughters, Sydney McCartney, Lilly Kane, Analaya Lender, and Renee Rice. Mary was a loving mother and devoted wife whose greatest joy was caring for her family. She was always there when her children or grandchildren needed her, whether it was helping with schoolwork, sharing one of her favorite recipes, or simply offering a listening ear. If you needed a recipe or advice in the kitchen, you could always count on her. She also enjoyed playing games on Facebook with her friends that she made along the way. She especially enjoyed the simple routine of sitting on her front porch and watching the neighborhood children board the bus as their school day began and in the evening when their day ended.
