Rightnour, Mary Kay, Cresson, died May 11, 2020 at home with her loving husband by her side. Born May 1, 1929, Johnstown, daughter of the late Earl and Marguerite (Bender) Bachtell. Preceded in death by her sister, Dr. Janice Bachtell. Survived by her husband, J. Robert Rightnour, with whom she had a loving marriage with for 58 years; sisters, Rhoda Booterbaugh and Ruth (Fred) Clarke; brother, Patrick (Karry) Bachtell; sister-in-law, Mary Alice Lefebvre; brothers-in-law, David (Joan) Rightnour and Thomas Rightnour, whom she cared for during their formative years; nieces and nephews, Thomas Lefebvre, Catherine McLaughlin, Beth (Terry) Fishel, Fred (Janet) Clarke, Janice (Mike) Fapore, Amanda (Ramon) Arrowsmith, Ann (Dennis) Falk, Amy (Jeff) Hudson, Mary Kay (Robert) Johnson, Patrick (Liz) Bachtell and Heather (Eric) Sundell. Mary Kay was an avid golfer and longtime member of the Summit Country Club. She loved playing Bridge and was an excellent player. Mary Kay was a trustee member of Mt. Aloysius College and a chairperson of the search committee for the new president of the college. She was board member and treasurer of the Cresson Public Library for 25 years. Mary Kay loved to travel, she enjoyed spending winters on St. Simons Island, GA. She was an avid University of Pittsburgh Football fan and enjoyed going to the games. Mary Kay loved going to the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Due to the COVID-19 recommendations and restrictions, the family will have a private viewing and funeral Mass, Rev. Leo Arnone, celebrant. Interment St. Francis Xavier Church Cemetery Mausoleum, Cresson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cresson Public Library, 231 Laurel Ave, Cresson, PA 16630.
