Mary Margaret (Kelly) Reck, 78, of Mount Union, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022, at her home. Born June 21, 1943, in Huntingdon, she was the daughter of the late Clair and Martha (Jones) Kelly. She was married for 56 years to Lawrence E. Reck who preceded her in death on June 27, 2019. Mary is survived by her loving children: daughter, Kimberley J. (Reck) Snyder and husband Timothy E. Snyder, Lititz; daughter, Melanie G. Reck, Huntingdon; and son, Gary E. Reck, Kistler/Mount Union; five grandchildren: Shannan (Snyder) Good, Timothy Snyder Jr., NaKeisha Reck, Jessica Reck, and Gary L. E. Reck; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Doris J. (Kelly) Dominelli, Newark, DE; and several nieces and nephews. A sister, Claire A. (Kelly) Shehan preceded her in death. Mary was a 1962 graduate of Captain Jack High School, Mount Union. She was baptized in the Methodist faith. Mrs. Reck was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who loved being with her family. Her hobbies involved camping trips, crossword puzzles, flower gardening and mothering her cat, Queenie. Mrs. Reck was previously employed at Fiberglass, and Harbison Walker Refractories Co. Mrs. Reck and her husband resided in Lititz and Manheim, PA, for many years. She was employed with Wackenhut Security at Warner Lambert, Lititz, and retired from Fenner Drives, Manheim. The family would like to say thank you to Family Hospice, Part of UPMC, Altoona, PA, for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mary’s memory may be made to Huntingdon County Humane Society, 11371 School House Hollow Road, Huntingdon, PA 16652 or to a shelter of your choice. There will be no public viewing. A private celebration of life and burial service will be held at the family’s convenience. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
