Marlene C. Norris, 88, Shirleysburg, passed away peacefully at her home in Shirleysburg on May 2, 2026. Born September 10, 1937, daughter of the late Joseph and Gladys (Stuller) Battistella. In addition to her parents, Marlene is also preceded in death by her husband Edwin J. Norris, Sr. Marlene is survived by sons; Edwin Norris, Jr., Erik (Tanya) Norris; daughters, Kathy (Lawrence) Baxter, Karen Norris; brother, David Battistella; sisters, Goldie Kagan, Bonnie Dearborn; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was a graduate of Captain Jack Joint High School class of 1957 and was a devoted member of Aughwick Germany Valley Church of the Brethren, where her faith and fellowship were central to her life. She also proudly served in the Ladies Auxiliary. In the 1990s, Marlene was an active member of the local quilting club, where she shared her talent, creativity, and friendship with many. Marlene was especially well known for her delicious homemade apple dumplings which became staples at the annual Apple Butter Festival. Her cooking brought people together, and she took great joy in preparing meals and organizing banquets for family, friends, and community events. The warmth of her kitchen was matched only by the warmth of her heart. A Celebration of Life will be held June 13, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Aughwick Germany Valley Church of the Brethren, Loves Valley & Loop Rd, Shirleysburg, PA.
