Margaret Ann (Wallace) Reed

Margaret Ann (Wallace) Reed, 73, Chambersburg, went to be with the Lord on Saturday February 19, 2022.  She currently resided at Laurel Lakes Rehabilitation Center and previously at Menno Haven Retirement Community, both of Chambersburg. Born January 11, 1949, daughter of the late Jack Dubestski and Evelyn Louise (Zeigler) Wallace. Survived by children, George Allan Wallace and wife, Jill, Mount Union; Benjamin Paul Yowler and companion, Frances, Shippensburg; Evelyn “Evie” Louise (Yowler) Coldsmith and fiancé, Adam Martin, Shippensburg; 3 grandchildren, Mason Storm Wallace and wife, Haley; Vada Raine Wallace and Olivia Gale Wallace; sister, Lucy (Wallace) Durbin and husband, Joel; and a nephew, Richard Hampton. Preceded in death by companion, Dixie L. Smith; previous husband, Wendell Barry Yowler; adoptive father, James J. Wallace; son, John W. Yowler and nephew, Jamie Hipp. Margaret was a graduate of Mount Union Area High School. She earned her CNA degree, worked and retired from Manor Care in Chambersburg and Woodland Rehabilitation in Orbisonia. Margaret was a member of the Shippensburg Church of the Brethren. Most and foremost, Margaret loved to spend time with her family and friends. Margaret enjoyed traveling, fishing, knitting and painting. She was a member of “TOPS” Taking Off Pounds Sensibly and a graduate of “KOPS” Keeping Off Pounds Sensibly. Family and friends will be received on Saturday February 26, 2022, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 12 Noon at the funeral home, Pastor John Semple, officiant. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to your local animal shelter. Interment to follow at Mount Union Cemetery.
