Morder, Mahlon Thomas “Tom”, 76, Shirleysburg, passed away Wednesday September 25, 2024, surrounded by his family at Conemaugh Medical Center, Johnstown. Born October 4, 1947, Allenport, son of the late Mahlon L. and Margie A. (Shellnut) Morder. Survived by his loving wife, Dawn C. (Holesapple) Morder. Also survived by his daughters, Dannyica Sheeler and husband, Roger; Crystal Mellott; Murinda Snyder and husband, Kelly; 6 grandchildren, Lindsey Carson and husband, Jaremay; Levi Brown and wife, Brittany; Nolan Brown and wife, Julie; Tyler Snyder; Quinton Snyder and wife, Erica; and Sierra Shope and husband, Joshua; and 11 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by brothers, John, Robert, and Stanley Morder. Tom was a 1966 graduate of Mount Union High School. Over his career he worked for Henkel’s and McCoy, the Visco, Harbison Walker Brickyard, all before retiring from Bonney Forge. Tom was a member of Living Waters Christian Outreach Church, Three Springs. He liked to hunt and fish. Most of all he loved to spend time with his family—especially his grandchildren.
