LuAnn Ramey Arnold, 70, went home to the Lord on June 29, 2024, at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital after a rapid decline in her health.LuAnn was born to George Robert and Doris L. (Dell) Ramey on March 21, 1954, in Huntingdon, Pa. She was united in marriage to Ed Arnold of Huntingdon. Mr. Arnold passed away in 2016. LuAnn is survived by her companion of 18 years, Charles Flasher of Huntingdon.Obtaining an associate’s degree in accounting, LuAnn attended DuBois Business College. She worked at the sewing factory in Mount Union and Top’s Diner in Mill Creek for many years. LuAnn was very proud of her accomplishment in writing the children’s book, The Forest of the Enchanted Smythe. She was also an avid bingo player, loved word games, and crocheting. She also loved cooking and baking favorite dishes for her family. Survived by three siblings, Bob Ramey and wife, Sue; Georgianna Swanger and husband, Harry, all of Mapleton; Lanny Ramey and companion, Sue, of Mount Union; and several nieces and nephews, she was preceded in death by one sister, Carol Thorne, Five surviving children Dennis and wife Jenny Gladfelter of Waynesboro; Matthew and wife Aurora Gladfelter of Mapleton; Benjamin and wife Branda Arnold of Mount Union, Betsy and husband James Burkett of Huntingdon, and Chelsea and husband Josh Hilty of Morgantown, WV; as well as the children of Charles Flasher, Patricia Flasher, Pamela Flasher, and Debra Flasher will greatly feel her absence. LuAnn was blessed with 13 grandchildren, Levi and wife Kylah Gladfelter, Brianna and husband Keith Heinbaugh, Hannah Gladfelter and fiancé Israel Adame, Olivia and husband Tom Stepp, Philip Gladfelter, Jackson Gladfelter, Addalyn Gladfelter, Teo Arnold, Odin Arnold, Torren Arnold, AddyLou Arnold, Savannah Muckle and fiancé Zachary Prough, and Jay Burkett. She was also blessed with one great-granddaughter, Amelia Gladfelter, another great-granddaughter yet to be born, and the great-grandson of Charles Flasher, Cameron Flasher. Family and friends will be received from 6-8 pm on Saturday July 6, 2024 at the Heath- Anderson Funeral Home Mount Union Pa . Services will follow at 8 pm with Pastor Lou Zanino officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
