 Lois “Mam” Arlene Price, age 97, of Mount Union, went home to be with the Lord on March 5, 2024. Lois was born on May 3, 1926 in Pogue, PA. She was the beloved wife of the late Marlyn E. Price. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Myrtle (Barron) Painter. She is survived by her daughter, Shelby Atherton, (husband, Kenneth - deceased); brother, Robert Painter; sister, Donna Ramsey; grandchildren, Holly Taylor (husband, Faron), Tracey Cook (husband, Christopher), Paul Price Jr., Heather Kriner (husband, Kevin), Terry Price Jr. (wife, Kristin), Chrystal Winters (husband, Eddie), and Nicole McMullen (husband, Doug); many great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. Also survived by daughter in law Janice Price and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sons, Paul Price, and Terry Price, (wife, Kathy - deceased); brothers Lester Painter and Orlando Painter; sisters Thelma Stevens and Doris Miller; and granddaughter Cheryl Price. Lois was a devout Christian and member of the Pentecostal Freedom Church. She enjoyed reading her bible daily with a goal of reading the entire bible each year. She loved cooking meals and baking. She made sure that anyone visiting her home never left hungry. Some of her baking specialties included raisin cookies and fudge. She always made homemade noodles for every holiday meal. She enjoyed teaching four generations of family how to make her special noodles. She also had great fun baking Christmas cookies with Sasha and Laken. Lois loved her family and spending time with them meant the world to her. Nothing made her happier than feeding her family, playing cards, and working on a puzzle together. She especially loved getting hugs from her great, great granddaughter, Cora Grace. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at Haven Rest Memorial Park, Shirleysburg, PA. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E. Shirley St., Mount Union, “Honored Provider of Veterans Funeral Care™.” Condolences may be made at AndersonFamilyFuneralHomes.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Pentecostal Freedom Church at 14779 Croghan Pike, Mount Union, PA 17066.
