Linda C. Brumbaugh

Brumbaugh, Linda C. (Speck), 73, Mapleton, passed away on February 11, 2022, at Penn Highlands Huntingdon due to complications from Covid 19 and Cancer. Daughter of Geraldine (June) and the late Wilfred Speck of Mapleton. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Richard “Dick” Brumbaugh, 2 children, Son Wayne and wife Carole, Midlothian VA, Daughter Lisa, and husband Les, State College PA; 3 Grandchildren, Richard Brumbaugh, Hampton VA, Hannah Brumbaugh, Midlothian VA, and Rebekah Horner, State College PA. Linda was a 1966 graduate of Mount Union Area High School and a graduate of Dubois Business College.  She is remembered by many in Mapleton as a ‘Second Mother” due to her active development of the “Teen Club”, which provided activities to many of Mapleton’s youth in the 1970’s and 1980’s. Linda was also active in the Mapleton Fire Department’s ladies auxiliary and Fire Dept. She was also a member of the Trough Creek Valley Volunteer Fire Dept, and the Central District Volunteer Firemen’s Association. Linda was a long-time employee of the Huntingdon Ambulance Division, and a recent employee of J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital. A celebration of life will be held for Linda at 5pm on Saturday February 19^th at the Grace United Methodist Church, 614 Main St, Mapleton, PA 17052. Family is asking for donation in lieu of flowers be sent in honor of Linda to the Mapleton Grace United Methodist Church.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
