Grissinger, Levi A., 84, Lancaster, passed away Monday, April 6, 2026 at Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center. Born June 1, 1941, Mount Joy, son of the late Edward G. Sr. and Dorothy C. (Henry) Grissinger. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Jeanette L. (Wheary) Grissinger; and siblings, John, Ed, Ella, Mary, Jerry, Bill and Dorothy. Survived by his children, Jackie (Herb) Anderson, Commodore; Jodi (Sam) Rote, Strasburg; Jess (Jim) Gore, Sparta, TN; Greg Ebersole, Rohrerstown; and Michael Grissinger, Lancaster; grandchildren, Garrett (Madison) Anderson, Ashley (Justin) Clifford, Samuel and Matthew Rote, and Jared (Emma) and Wyatt Gore; great-grandchildren, Colt, Davanee, Autumn and Jordyn Anderson, Oliver and Elouise Clifford, and another great-grandchild, baby Gore due in October; and siblings, Alma, George, Bertha, and Shirley. Levi retired from Alumax in Lancaster after 43 years of service. He was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan. Levi found his greatest joy in the heart of the Christmas season, pouring his spirit into a breathtaking spectacle of lights and displays that turned his former property at 201 W. Main Street, Strasburg into a local landmark where families from Strasburg and the surrounding towns could gather for a magical evening of holiday cheer and visits with Santa. Most importantly, he cherished spending time with his family. At Levi’s request, there will be no viewing or service. Private inurnment at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery, Lancaster.
