Leslie Karen Loner

Leslie Karen (McConahy) Loner, 70, Mount Union, passed away October 21, 2022, at 10:12pm at Westminster Woods, Huntingdon.  Born May 5, 1952, daughter of the late Gladys Elda (Wagner) and Ralph Elden McConahy. Survived by her husband, Joseph Loner Jr.; son, Joseph “Joey” Loner III; and daughter, Jessi Loner; 4 grandchildren, Adriana, Carmen, Rocco, and Dorian.  She loved animals, specifically dogs, more specifically beagles! Leslie enjoyed the outdoors, and her hometown of Williamsburg, PA. She spoke often and fondly of her childhood and family, especially her brother Dale. She was intelligent and empathetic, clever, and kind. She was an extremely funny woman; her playfulness and quick wit brightened two generations of childhoods. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and protector who wholeheartedly believed in her children and encouraged their dreams. To her grandchildren she was “Mama” and the home she inhabited with her husband was known solely as “Mama’s House.” To her grandchildren it was a place of warmth, comfort, and good food. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E. Shirley St., Mount Union, “Honored Provider of Veterans Funeral Care™.” Condolences may be made at AndersonFamilyFuneralHomes.com.
