Worthy, Leroy “Jake”, 83, Shirleysburg, passed away Sunday October 30, 2022, at home. Born February 13, 1939, Orbisonia, son of the late Roy and Eva (Varner) Worthy. Survived by his sons, Rodney Worthy and wife, Susi; and Neal Worthy and wife, Tammy; brothers, Tom and Gene Worthy; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by his wife, Darlene (Garlock) Worthy; brothers, Roy, Robert, Gary, Raymond, Bill and Joseph Worthy; sisters, Viola Wakefield, Marie Crouse, Mary Wright, and Betty Harkleroad. Leroy honorably served his country in the United States Army. He was retired from being a truck driver. Leroy loved to reminisce on the good old days of trucking with his close friend, John Sowash.
