Obituary

Leon G. Yoder, 70, Mill Creek, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2026 at his home, with his wife by his side. Born September 11, 1955 he was the son of the late John W. and Edna R. (Edgin) Yoder. In addition to his parents, Leon was preceded in death by his late wife, Annete M. (Stubbs) Yoder on November 16, 2022; and granddaughter, Ella Yoder. Leon was united in marriage to Nancy Civitts on June 21, 2025. Leon is survived by his wife, Nancy; sons, Curtis L. (Stephanie) Yoder, Reedsville; Chad M. (Jaclyn) Yoder, McVeytown; Craig (Erica) Yoder, Montoursville; stepdaughters, Ashley D. (Randy) Goana, Azle, TX, Jessica M. (Aaron) Heffelfinger, Elkton, MD; 12 grandchildren, Blake, Hannah, Conner, Sadie, Adalena, Noralyn, Camden, Jacob, Autumn, Everly, Eliana, Remington; siblings, Rose (Robert) Leonart, San Antonio, TX; Sharon Yoder, Allensville; Larry (Jean) Yoder, Huntingdon, Raymond (Verna) Yoder, Mill Creek; and Greg (Rose) Yoder, Belleville. Leon graduated from Kishacoquillas High School in 1974. Formerly employed at Fairmont Foods and Ames Tru Temper, and later retired from Penn State University as a laborer for the Water Treatment Plant. During his lifetime he loved wood working, hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his family and friends. Leon is a former member of the Allensville Vol. Fire Co. and was a member of the Fousetown Bible Church. Friends and family will be received Monday, June 8, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12 p.m., Heath-Anderson Funeral Home, Pastor Gary Hagans officiant. Inurnment to follow at the Otelia Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Fousetown Bible Church.
