Kowalski, Sr., Leo J., 93, Cresson, went home to be with the Lord July 31, 2021 at Cambria Care Center, Ebensburg. Born January 1, 1928, Coupon, son of the late John and Sophie (Yonkoski) Kowalski. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Margaret Ann (Roberts). Survived by his sons, Leo Kowalski, Jr. and companion Joanna, Aliquippa; and Danny Kowalski and wife, Alexandra, Delray Beach, FL; 3 grandchildren, Jacob, Casey and Rusty; and 3 great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Alaric and Angelo. Leo was a US Navy veteran serving during WWII and earning the rank of Seaman Second Class. He worked the majority of his life as a coal miner. Leo was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church, Cresson where a funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at 11 a.m., Fr. Leo Arnone, celebrant. Friends and family will be received from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Anderson Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services prior to the funeral Mass. Burial at St. Francis Xavier Church Cemetery, Cresson.
