Leo F. Glass, Sr.

Glass, Sr., Leo Francis, 87, Portage, passed away Monday, August 24, 2020 at Maybrook Hills, Altoona. Born on July 13, 1933 in Munster, son of the late Thomas and Clara (Rodgers) Glass. Preceded in death by his son, Charles Glass; grandson, Carter Allison; and sister, Dolores Burley. Survived by his son, Tom (Kelly) Glass of State College; daughter, Kathleen (Dwayne) Allison of Lock Haven; son, Leo (Laura) Glass of Portage; and daughter, Susan (Christopher) Fronheiser of Finksburg, MD; grandchildren: Scott Glass, Jamie Glass, Kelsey Allison, Taylor Glass, Emma Fronheiser, Kyle Fronheiser, Sarah Fronheiser and Michael Fronheiser. Leo graduated from Cresson High School in 1950 and earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from St. Francis College in 1954. Over the years, Leo worked for Altoona Mercy Hospital, A&P, and the state of Pennsylvania. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling and fishing. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at 1 p.m., St. Francis Xavier Church, Cresson, Rev. Leo Arnone, celebrant. Private interment will be held at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lock Haven University Carter Allison Cross Country Scholarship, Lock Haven Foundation 401 N. Fairview St., Lock Haven, PA 17745.
