Larry J. Behe

Behe, Larry J., 79, Cresson, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at his home. Born June 2, 1944, Washington Twp., Cambria Co., son of Jerome and Pearl (Fanari) Behe. Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Fred Behe; and stepson, Jamy Markovich. Survived by his loving wife, Susan (Eger) Behe; daughter, Tammy Hoover and husband, Tim; brothers, Ken, Jerry and Pat; sisters, Rose, Anita, Joyce, Sheryl and Diane; and numerous nieces and nephews. Larry retired from the railroad as a welder after 33 years. His greatest passion in life was golfing. Larry was a life member of the Summit Country Club in Cresson and a long-time member of the Lilly American Legion. He also loved fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. He was a wonderful husband and father. Larry was always willing to help anyone in need. At his request there will be no viewing. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 10 a.m., St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Cresson, Rev. Leo Arnone celebrant. Private committal at St. Francis Xavier Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
