States, Kenneth L., 88, Cresson, went home to be with the Lord February 27, 2019. Born September 19, 1930, Sankertown, son of the late Glenn and Marie (Hughes) States. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Florence (Malloy); and three sisters and four brothers. Survived by his children, David States and wife, Michelle, Altoona; Kevin States, Enola; Lee Ann Naugle and husband, Brian, Orrtanna; grandchildren, Andy Novak, Fairfield; Kelsey Graves and husband, Jacob, New Oxford; great-grandchild, Eli Graves; a sister; special friend, Alice Walters; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ken was a US Air Force veteran. He was a truck driver for 42 years. Ken was first an independent steel hauler, then drove for Mid-State Chemical and then worked 26 years for Ward Trucking before he retired. Ken also owned State's Cycle Center for over 30 years. He was a past member of the Summit Country Club and Immergun Golf Club, where he enjoyed to golf. Ken was also a life member of St. Francis Xavier Church and the Cresson Italian Club. Friends and family will be received March 3 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Kennedy-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Funeral Mass will be celebrated March 4 at 9:30 a.m., St. Francis Xavier Church, Msgr. Bernard A. Przybocki, celebrant. Entombment St. Francis Xavier Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson Foundation Western Pennsylvania, 757 Lincoln Avenue, #101, Bellevue, PA 15202 or the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org) in memory of Ken.
