Kenneth W. Ketenheim

Ketenheim, Kenneth Wayne, 96, Cresson, died Dec. 7, 2017, at Arbutus Park Manor, Johnstown. Born Jan. 22, 1921, in Philadelphia, son of the late George and Eva (Teichman) Ketenheim. Preceded in death by wife, Verna (Sherwood) on May 19, 1993; brothers, George and Theodore; and grandson, Justin Lumbatis. Survived by daughters: Judith Wells (Franklin), Madison; Barbara Dinsel (Gary), North Huntingdon; Sandra Dunkle (Frank), Everett; Deborah Bonski (David), Johnstown; and Wendy Pigza (David), Greensburg; 9 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren; and brother, Robert, Trafford. Retired as a car inspector from the Pennsylvania Railroad. Ken was well known in his community for his generosity, good humor, and perpetual malarkey. His garden produced an abundance of tomatoes and zucchini, which we looked forward to every year. His life touched many through his involvement in the Cresson United Methodist Church and his pivotal role in the management of the Cresson Food Pantry for many years. He had also been a member of the Rails to Trails Conservatory and Cresson Senior Citizens. He spent the past few months at Arbutus Park Manor, where he shared many special moments with his daughter, Debbie Bonski, who also resides there. He will be remembered fondly. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. funeral service on Wednesday, Dec. 13th, at Cresson United Methodist Church, Lt. Col. Barry Kenneth Wells, officiating. Interment, Alto Reste Park, Altoona. Arrangements by Charles M. Kennedy Funeral Home, Cresson. www.cmkennedyfh.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Arbutus Park Manor, in Ken's memory. https://arbutusparkmaonr.com/donate
