Kenneth R. Boggs

Boggs, Kenneth R., 94, Mount Union, passed away August 22, 2019 at AristaCare at Woodland Park, Orbisonia. Born December 21, 1924, Mount Union, son of the late Charles and Carrie (Lehman) Boggs. Preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Survived by his wife of 42 years, Winifred (Linn) Boggs; son, Dennis Boggs, Carlisle; step-children, Judy Voigt and husband, John Sr., Hartwell, GA; Vickie Neary, Woodstock, GA; Dixie Rosensteel and husband, Rick, Lebanon; Kathy Puchalla, Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Valerie, John Jr., Angie, Erica, and Danny; and 8 great-grandchildren. Ken was a member of the Mount Union Volunteer Fire Dept and the VFW Post 5754. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, carpentry and painting. Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, August 27 from 1 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m., Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 East Shirley St., Mount Union, Rev. Beverly Skopic and Rev. Elaine Africa, co-officiating. Graveside services Mount Union Cemetery with Military honors provided by the VFW and American Legion Honor and Color Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mount Union Presbyterian Church.
