Kreider, Kathy M., 70, Shirleysburg, passed away May 3, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born February 10, 1950, Washington D.C., daughter of the late George Ben and Eileen Elizabeth (Heflin) Britt. Preceded in death by her adopted mother, Argyle Tucker. Survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Raymond S. Kreider, Shirleysburg; daughters, Anita Gipe, Mechanicsburg; Raynette Kreider, Lawrence, KS; Christina Kreider, Carlisle; Brandy Collins Hall, Huntingdon; 6 grandchildren, Elizabeth Fiester, Mount Union; twins, Caitlynn Kreider, Alexandria; Keri Kreider, Carlisle; Brianna Avey, Mechanicsburg; Kendra Blackwelder, Lawrence, KS; Johnny “JJ” Siegler, Huntingdon; 1 great-grandchild, Liam Fiester; grandmother, Leona Elizabeth Heflin, Fauquier County, VA; siblings, Michael Britt, Washington D.C.; George Britt, Tampa, FL; and Georgette Britt, Accokeek, MD. Kathy enjoyed attending NASCAR races with her husband and flea markets. She was a member of the Shirleysburg Borough Council for many years and assisted with the Shirleysburg Heritage Association and the local board of elections. Kathy loved to lend a hand at the Annual Apple Butter Festival in Shirleysburg. Kathy was most happy when spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered for her helpful and caring nature. A private graveside service will be held at Germany Valley Cemetery, Pastor Tim Miller, officiant.
