Josephine Kozak

Kozak, Josephine, 96, Lilly, passed away March 12, 2023 at Maple Winds Health & Rehab, Portage. Born December 17, 1926, Lilly, daughter of the late Andrew and Honorata (Godzisz) Zajdel. She was married to beloved husband, John Kozak for 58 years before his death in 2009. They had four children together, Jeanie DeLuca, Larry, Bill and Jim Kozak. She was preceded in death by her children, Jeanie and Larry; siblings, John, Mary, Felix, Frances, Anne, Steve, Dorothy and her twin brother, William. She is survived by her children, Bill and wife, Debbie; and Jim and wife, Mary; son-in-law, Dominic DeLuca; and daughter-in-law, Teresa. She was a very special Bubcha to Mandy (Dan) George, Laura (Alan) Kozak, Brian (Vicki) Kozak, and Nicole (Lee) Koch; and great-grandchildren, Carly, Maddie and Aly. Jo retired from the Penn Cambria Elementary School cafeteria. She was a member of Our Lady of The Alleghenies Church. Jo enjoyed cooking, cleaning, and a good “snappy” Polka, but nothing compared to the joy her family brought her. In her later years, she looked forward to her daily visits from her children. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at 10 a.m. followed by committal rites, Our Lady of the Alleghenies Church, Lilly, Rev. Matthew Reese celebrant. Private interment Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Lilly.
