Witters, Joseph F. Sr., 60, Middletown, passed away November 13, 2022, at home. Born August 9, 1962, Wayne Township, son of the late James E. and Lulu (Gillam) Witters. Survived by his companion, Jodie Hawthorne Pierce; children, Amy Lynn Dumez, Amy Lou Witters, Jessica Walizer, Joseph F. Witters Jr., and Tyler Witters; 8 grandchildren; brother, James E. Witters Jr. and wife, Lois; and nephew George D. Witters. Preceded in death by siblings, George M. Witters, Sandra Zito, Stanley Witters and Perry Witters. Joseph honorably served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the Dutch Club, VERHOVAY, St. Mary’s Club, St. Lawrence Club, and the American Legion. Joseph was a past LSTAA Baseball Coach, Middletown Youth Club Football coach and loved cheering on the Philadelphia Phillies and the Washington Redskins. Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the funeral home for a viewing. A private interment will take place at the Germany Valley Cemetery.
