John Conrad Miller, Sr.

Miller, Sr., John Conrad, 95, Orbisonia, passed away January 10, 2021 at home surrounded by his family. Born January 1, 1926 son of the late Arthur and Mary (Grissinger) Miller. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Lois E. (Glunt) Miller; brothers, Norman and Ray Miller. Survived by children, Darlene Gilliland; Eugene Miller and wife, Vicki; Roy Miller; Maryann Bennett and husband, James; John Miller, Jr. and companion Annette; 11 grandchildren, Cory, John III, Kassandra, Robert III, Matt, Alisa, Jamie, Stacy, Erica, Penny, and Roy Jr; sisters, Freda Yohn, Betty Ramsey, and Helen Miller; and 29 Great-grandchildren. Mr. Miller was a decorated soldier in the US Army, having served his country honorably during World War II, enduring as a POW, and receiving the Purple Heart for his valiant sacrifices. After his service, Mr. Miller enjoyed camaraderie at the VFW, American Legion, and Sons of Italy. In his free time, Mr. Miller enjoyed traveling, and attending auto auctions. He spent time outdoors doing yardwork and fishing. More than anything, he cherished his time with his friends and extensive family. Friends will be received at Heath-Anderson Funeral Home on Friday, January 15, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. and on Saturday, January 16, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 11:00 a.m., Pastor Ed Seeley, officiant. Interment to follow at Rockhill IOOF Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
