Gorba, John W. Jr., 55, Altoona, died Oct. 18, 2015 at UPMC-Altoona. Born March 9, 1960, in Illinois, son of the late John W. Sr. and Patricia (Elig) Gorba. Preceded in death by sister, Laura Gorba. Survived by sons: John (Jessica), Gallitzin; and Luke (Amber), Cresson; grandsons: Owen and Ryder; and sisters: Patricia McConnell (Mick), Cresson; Mary Gongloff (Steve), Gap; Earleen Rice (Harry Prosser), Patton; Paula Gorba, Cresson; and Kelly Jo Fortney (John), Gallitzin. Formerly employed as a laboratory technician at Standard Laboratory, Cresson. Family and friends received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Charles M. Kennedy Funeral Home, Cresson, where service will be held at 1 p.m., Rev. Leo F. Arnone. Committal, St. Francis Xavier cemetery. www.cmkennedyfh.com
