John F. Conrad

Conrad, John F., 85, Cresson, died Oct. 4, 2016, at UPMC, Altoona. Born April 2, 1931, in Gallitzin, son of the late Clement and Thecla (Adams) Conrad. Preceded in death by wife, Mary (Steiger) on June 17, 2005; sisters, Florence, Genevieve and Patricia; and brother, Paul. Survived by children: Lisa McManus (George Jr.), Strongsville, Ohio; Eric (Vivian Noland), Lilly; Lynne Conrad, Duncansville; Heather Larrimore (Reed), Mission Viejo, Calif.; and Erin Geller (Shawn), Bedford; grandchildren: Keri and Kyle McManus; Jonathan Smith and Megan Behe; Krysten and Reed Larrimore; and Emily and Sophia Geller; and sister, Lois, Holidaysburg. Served with the U.S. Army in Norfolk, Va. Retired in 1996 as a maintenance supervisor with ConRail. Member of St. Francis Xavier Parish and American Legion, Post 238, both of Cresson. Private family viewing at Charles M. Kennedy Funeral Home, Cresson. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11a.m. Friday at St. Francis Xavier Church, Rev. Leo F. Arnone. Committal, church cemetery.
