John A. Coder Sr.

Coder, Sr., John Alonza, 75, Mapleton Depot, passed away March 9, 2021. Born February 12, 1946, Mapleton Depot, son of the late John A. T. and La Rue C. (Brown) Coder. Survived by his loving wife, Evelyn J. (Brumbaugh) Coder; children, John A. Coder Jr. and partner, Sherry; Van W. Coder and wife, Keysha; 8 grandchildren, Jamie, Brianna, Kelvin, Taylor, Kaylie, Zachary, Drake and Evan; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Caroline Miller and husband, Stanley; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by beloved daughter, Faith A. Peters. John honorably served his country in the United States Army 82nd Airborne. John loved hunting and fishing and was a huge outdoor lover. He enjoyed riding his four-wheeler and spending time around the fire at his cabin. John was most happy when spending time with his family, friends, and three pets. Family and friends will be received on Sunday March 14, 2021 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held on Monday March 15, 2021 at 11 a.m., at the funeral home, Pastor Ed Seeley, officiant.
