Coder, Jr., John A., 53, Huntingdon, passed away September 26, 2021 at Penn Highlands, DuBois. Born September 12, 1968, Huntingdon, son of Evenlyn J. (Brumbaugh) Coder and the late John A. Coder Sr. Preceded in death by sister, Faith Peters and paternal grandmother, La Rue Coder. Survived by companion, Sherry Bollinger; children, Brianna Coder; Kelvin Coder and wife, Samantha; Kaylie Coder and significant other, Cody; stepchildren, Jamie Eckenrode and Taylor Heeter; step grandchildren, Jordyn and Connor Eckenrode; brother, Van Coder and wife, Keysha; and nephews, Zachary, Drake and Evan Coder. John graduated from Mount Union Area High School in 1986. Following school, he served in the United States Air Force. John went on to work in corrections at SCI Huntingdon for over 30 years. He loved riding his motorcycle, collecting crystals and reading tarot cards. John loved music and was a big fan of Five Finger Death Punch. He was a former member of the Huntingdon Volunteer Fire Company. John enjoyed going on mountain bike rides with his children and attending their different sporting events. He loved his dogs and shooting guns. John was most happy when spending time with his family and friends. Family and friends will be received on Friday October 1, 2021, from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, Joseph Barrett, officiant.
