Jean M. Bigelow

Bigelow, Jean M. “Jeannie”, 80, Mount Union, went home to be with the Lord October 18, 2019 at AristaCare at Woodland Park. Born May 8, 1939, McConnellstown, daughter of the late Jacob E. and Mary I. (Lamberson) Bigelow. Preceded in death by brother, Bob Bigelow and a nephew-in-law, Terry Shope. Survived by sister, Sarah Marshall, Mount Union; 3 nieces, Cindy Robinson and husband, William, Mount Union; Cathy Shope, Huntingdon; Mary Ellen Reed and husband, Ted, McVeytown. Jeannie was a graduate of Captain Jack High School and a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church. She worked for U.S. Sports and FCI. Jeannie loved sitting on her porch with her dog, Heather, was an avid reader and enjoyed visiting with her neighbors. It was Jeannie’s wish not to have a viewing or funeral. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Huntingdon County Humane Society.
