Jayme Christopher Piper

Jayme Christopher Piper went home to his Lord and Savior on June 1, 2025. Born September 17, 1985, beloved son of Jeff and Julia (Glunt) Piper. Jayme was a man who put others needs and wants before his own. He loved the Lord with his entire heart and worked to help bring many others to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Jayme loved to fish and hunt. He loved racing, especially dirt track racing. One of his biggest Joys and accomplishments was being a pit crew member for his childhood friend Tyler Brown. Jayme would not be ashamed to admit he had tears in his eyes when Tyler got that first win. Jayme was a big Kyle Larson fan and loved cheering him on every Sunday. Jayme was the Vice President and firefighter with Mapleton Fire Department Station 2, where he loved to serve and help fundraise. Especially by organizing the annual car show. Jayme was employed by Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. and was on the path to being a licensed Funeral Director. He was very proud of the work he did and helped many people through their darkest times while working there. Survived his loving wife, Hannah (Roles) Piper; and their dog Remi. He is also survived by his parents; brother’s, Jason and partner, Kyle; and James; honorary brother and sister, Ashley and Andrew Moyer; uncles Gary, Mike, Bob, Doug and Tony and wife, Amy; aunt Dennette; cousins, Jessica, Jimmy, Hattie, Chris, TJ, David, Josie and Luke; in-laws Roger and Rebecca Romig; sister and brother-in-law, Megan and husband, Cody; and Nick; and all of Hannah’s family who loved him dearly as well as many friends that we would have called family. Preceded in death by his soul dog, Taya; his paternal great grandparents, Alton Piper, Nancy Piper and Helen Kylor; maternal great grandparents, Paul and Agnes Glunt; paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Naomi Piper; maternal grandparents, William and Georgia Ross; and an uncle, Kenny. Jayme will be missed by all those who loved him. Family and friends will be received on Friday June 6, 2025, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a fire department service to begin at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Family and friends will be received again on Saturday June 7, 2025, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m., at the funeral home, Pastor David Miller & Francis Crouse, officiants. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E. Shirley St., Mount Union, “Honored Provider of Veterans Funeral Care™.” Condolences may be made at AndersonFamilyFuneralHomes.com.
