Jane R. Rorer

Rorer, Jane R., 94, Belleville, went to be with the Lord on Sunday April 2, 2023, at Valley View Retirement Community. Born April 29, 1928, Mount Union, daughter of the late Owen S. and Iva E. (Shade) Rosenbery. Preceded in death by her husband, Garth G. Rorer, whom she married on June 12, 1954 at the Allenport United Methodist Church. Also preceded in death by siblings, Mary McDonel and Gerald D. Rosenbery; and niece, Mary Hahn. Survived by niece, Barbara Atherton and husband, Richard, Mount Union. Mrs. Rorer was a 1946 graduate of Mount Union High School and a 1952 graduate of Shippensburg University. She spent her career working as an elementary school teacher at Shirleysburg Elementary and the West Shore School District in Camp Hill, retiring in 1982 after 27 years. She was a member of the Watts Memorial Church and most recently the United Methodist Church of Belleville. At the request of the deceased there will be no services. Interment to be at Rolling Green Memorial Gardens, Camp Hill. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
