James W. Taylor

Taylor, James W., 89, McVeytown, passed away January 28, 2022, at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital. Born June 29, 1932, McVeytown, son of the late William L. and Olive E. (Shore) Taylor. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Margaret E. (Edgin); his daughter Vickie L. Peachey, two sisters; Martha Sarra and Clara Glenney; and by two brothers; Barton and Lawrence “Bill” Taylor.  James is survived by his son James A. Taylor and wife Rebecca, a grandson; Jeptha Peachey wife Rachel, two granddaughters; Brittany Taylor and her fiancée Kyle Rhodes and Hannah Rinker husband Jesse.  Also surviving are five great grandchildren: Joshua, AJ, Maddie, Avarie, and Liam and a son in law Wayne Peachey. James served in the US. Army. He enjoyed farming, hunting, and after retiring from New Holland, he enjoyed bus trips with the retirement group. Friends and family will be received from 10:00 a.m. until the Noon funeral service on Friday February 4, 2022, at the Otelia Mennonite Church, State Route 103, Mount Union, PA. 17066.  Larry Zilch officiant.  Interment will follow at Otelia Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a memorial contribution in James’s name to a charity of their choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
