Bilger, James A. Sr., 88, Mount Union and formerly of Black Log, passed away Monday June 13, 2023, at Embassy Huntingdon Park. Born July 4, 1934, Black Log, son of the late Fred McCoy and Mary Louise (McCroy) Bilger. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Myra Jane (Fitzgerald) Bilger and sister, Barbara Halgren. Survived by sons, James A. Bilger Jr. and wife, Melinda; Joseph R. Bilger and wife, Michelle; and Jeffrey W. Bilger; 4 grandchildren, Macy, Cole, Harley and Chase; siblings, Dennis Bilger, John Bilger, Ruth Fisher, Carl Bilger, Lee Bilger, Joyce McClain and Nellie Hopple. Mr. Bilger honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Bilger drove truck for many years. He was a member of the Teamsters and achieved the milestone of a million-mile driver. Mr. Bilger was a member of F&AM Lodge #688. Most of all he loved to spend time with his family.
