Barger, James Louis “Jim”, 68, Mount Union, passed away at UPMC Altoona Hospital Monday May 19, 2025. Born December 28, 1956, son of the late James Edward and Dorothy May (McLain) Barger. Survived by Son, Steven Barger and wife, April of Mount Union; granddaughter, Chelsea Barger; and multiple nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by brother, John Barger and sister, Sheryl Massey. James served honorably for the United States Marine Corps from December 28, 1973, until retirement June 16, 1994, earning rank of Seargent Major. He was a member of the Volunteer Fire Company of Halfway, Hagerstown, Maryland. He enjoyed Civil War re-enacting with his son, watching war movies, and westerns.
