Pollock, Jack Lewis, 77, Mapleton Depot, passed away February 27, 2021 with his wife at his side at their home. Born May 3, 1943, Wayne Township, son of the late Oscar Fern and Blanch Runk (Hamilton) Pollock. Preceded in death by siblings, Fern Pollock, Maddensville; Raymond Pollock, Chambersburg; Richard Pollock, Calvin; Robert Pollock, Woodland, GA; Gladys Gaisor, Newton Hamilton; and Oscar Pollock, Woodland, GA. Survived by loving wife, Gail Lorraine (Price) Pollock; siblings, Evalyn Glover, McVeytown; Deloris Booher, Kistler; Thelma Pyles, Mount Union; and Bertha Renninger, Kistler; daughters, Shelley Peters and husband, Brian, Erie, and Wendy McCartney and husband, Paul, Duncansville; grandchildren, Jack, Kristina, Shawn, Jeffrey, Rachel, and Mirrissa; and seven great-grandchildren. Jack, the youngest of 12 siblings, attended Captain Jack High School. He was a very hard worker who really enjoyed his many positions at U.S. Silica. Hunting was his favorite sport in his younger years, but as he aged, he spent many hours riding his 4X4 through the ridges and fields on his property simply watching the birds and wildlife. Friends and family will be received for a visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Heath-Anderson Funeral Home, service to follow, Dorothy J. Hararas, officiant. Interment to follow at Haven Rest Memorial Park, Shirleysburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to UPMC Family Hospice at 20 Sheraton Drive, Altoona, PA 16601.
