Irene W. Glunt

Glunt, Irene W., 99, formerly of Shade Gap, went home to be with the Lord February 7, 2023 at the Embassy at Woodland Park, Orbisonia. Born September 16, 1923, daughter of the late William and Myrtle (Kelly) Krause. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Edwin R. Glunt, whom she married on September 8, 1942 in Hagerstown Maryland; siblings, Boyd Krause, Ruth Parson, Dorothy Hoffman, Lorma Boozel, Helen Holden, Evelyn Laidig and Olive Krause; and by her nephew whom she raised from birth, Cloyd Hoffman Jr. Survived by children, Kenneth and wife, Paulette Glunt, Orbisonia; Bernadine L. Shoop, Blairs Mills; grandchildren, Waylon and wife, Stephanie Glunt; Christine Grove and husband, Charlie; 4 great grandsons, Waylon II, David, Joshua and Christian; and a great-great grandson, Daniel; and siblings, Richard Krause; and Vielda and spouse, Dennie Seibert. Irene was a member of the Orbisonia Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed reading. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023 at 10 a.m., Orbisonia Church of the Nazarene, 594 Meadow St., Orbisonia, PA 17243. A committal service will follow at Haven Rest Memorial Park, Shirleysburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Orbisonia Church of the Nazarene, P.O.
