Copenhaver, Herbert E., 75, passed away December 31, 2019, at UPMC Altoona. Born March 24, 1944, the son of the late Clarence and Leora (Gibson) Copenhaver. Preceded in death by brother, William Copenhaver Sr. Survived by his loving wife, Shirley K. (Pollock); daughters, Sharon M. Greenholt and husband, Mark, Mechanicsburg; Nancy K. Kuntz and husband Thomas, Montoursville; son, Jeremy L. Copenhaver and wife Melissa, Pella, Iowa; brothers, James E. Copenhaver; Clarence B. Copenhaver Jr.; George L. Copenhaver; sister, Mary L. Schwichtenberg; 6 grandchildren, Bryant; Matthew; Vincent; Quinton; Josiah; Ezekiel. Herbert served his country with the United States Army. Herbert worked as a welder at New Holland. He was a member of the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church and attended Grace Community Church in Mount Union. He was a former baseball coach. Herbert loved spending time with family and friends, reading the Bible, and serving at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Friends and family will be received Monday January 6, 2020 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 12 p.m. at the funeral home, pastors, Dan Neff and Steve Rynkewitz, co-officiants.
