Obituary

Harman, Harry E., 90, Mount Union, passed away on November 22, 2025, at the Embassy of Woodland Park, Orbisonia. Born September 19, 1935, Wayne Township, son of the late Jesse and Ester (Casner) Harman. Mr. Harman is survived by his wife of 68 years, Sally (Gilbert) Harman, their daughter Janice (Richard) Blair; and daughter-in-law, Melissa (Mike) Harman-Hiquet; grandsons, Andy (Erica) Blair, Adam ( Deanna) Blair; granddaughters, Bethany (Chris) Grace, Latisha Harman (Ben), Felicia (DJ) Glunt; great-grandsons, Cody Blair, Cory Blair, Nicholas Grace, Bentley Glunt, Deegan Long; great- granddaughters, Marissa Blair, Khloe Glunt. He was the last surviving sibling out of 8, preceding him in death are brothers, Jesse Harman, Paul Harman, William Fred Harman, John Harman; sisters; Shirley Harman, Betty Rogers, Dorothy Emery; and son, Doug Harman. After proudly serving his country in the United States Army and earning the rank of E-4 Specialist, he returned home and built a life rooted in hard work and simple joys. He spent many years farming; a calling that connected him to the land he loved. He was employed at Hickes Construction until retirement and worked at Don McCartney’s Garage. He always willing to lend a hand or share his knowledge with anyone who needed it. Outside of work, Harry found happiness in the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and making memories under open skies. Whether he was sitting by a campfire or casting a line at his favorite spot, he cherished every moment spent in nature. Above all, family and friends were at the center of his life. He treasured gatherings, big or small, and his presence was a source of comfort, laughter, and warmth. His kindness, loyalty, and good-natured spirit will be remembered by all who knew him. Family and friends will be received Wednesday, November 26, 2025, from 9:00 – 10:00 with a service at 10:00 at the Heath-Anderson Funeral Home, Paster Faith Anderson, officiant. Burial to follow at Mount Union Borough Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Alzheimer's Association Greater Pennsylvania Chapter. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
