Glenn M. Noel Sr., 79, Gallitzin, passed away Monday, July 20, 2026 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born March 3, 1947, Gallitzin, son of the late Michael E. and Jennie D. (Grove) Noel. Preceded in death by his siblings, Gale Gibbons, Harry “Hank” Noel, James Noel Jr. and Arlene Myers; and his niece, Violet Crowley. Survived by his loving wife, Nancy L. (Storm) Noel; children, Tina McCreary and husband, Gary; Glenn Noel Jr. and wife, Angela; Jennifer Kephart and husband, Dave; and Michael Noel and wife, Megan; 16 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Glenn was a dedicated worker, a passionate outdoorsman, and a proud member of his community. A devoted member of the United Mine Workers of America (UMWA), he spent many years working underground at Mine 33. His hard work and strong work ethic extended throughout his career, which also included time with Earthmovers Unlimited and serving his community as a former Gallitzin Township Supervisor. Outside of work, Glenn was an avid outdoorsman and a long-time member of the Altoona Volunteer Gun Club. Nothing brought him more joy than heading out hunting or riding his four-wheeler through the trails with his beloved dog, Bella, right by his side. At Glenn’s request, a private family viewing was held on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.
