Gertrude A. Lucas

Lucas, Gertrude A. (Flasher), 81, Three Springs, went to be with the Lord Sunday March 19, 2023, at UPMC Altoona. Born October 9, 1941, Shirley Township, daughter of the late Chester and Amanda (Walker) Flasher. Preceded in death by husband, Andrew Lucas Jr.; son, Andrew J. Lucas; and siblings, Marion White, John Flasher, Robert Flasher, Clara DiSalvo and Hazel Cain. Survived by sons, Kelly J. Lucas, Three Springs; and James M. Lucas, Shermans Dale; grandchildren, Brett, Andrew, and Ethan; great grandchildren, Rowan and Lorelie; and her closest as well as high school friends, Bette Vezza and Jean Hampson. Gertrude was reared by her aunt and uncle, Dolphene and John Walker. She worked as a nurse in healthcare and a seamstress. Gertrude was a member of the Fairview Evangelical Church. She enjoyed bowling, sewing dresses, video games, crossword puzzles and was a huge NASCAR fan and loved cheering for Kyle Larson. Gertrude loved her kitten and cat.
