Lyons, Gerard William, 71, Mapleton Depot, passed away October 6, 2022, at home surrounded by his family. Born November 5, 1950, Philadelphia County, son of the late William J. and Geraldine M. (Kohler) Lyons. Survived by his loving wife, Mary E. (Croul) Lyons; sons, Christopher W. Lyons and Thomas J. Lyons and wife, Christa; sister, Susan B. Lyons and niece, Susie Lyons. Preceded in death by brother, Eugene R. Lyons. Gerard graduated from Cardinal Dougherty High School in Philadelphia. He owned and operated his own auto repair shop after high school. Gerard retired from Amtrak in November of 2017. He was a 4^th Degree Honorary Member of the Knights of Columbus. Gerard enjoyed hunting and being outdoors. Most of all he loved to spend time with his family and friends. Friends and family will be received on Monday October 10, 2022, from 9 a.m. until the time of mass at 10 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 203 W Market St, Mt Union, PA 17066, Father Joseph Fleming, officiant.
