Gerald “Jerry” R. Clark Jr., 83, of Mount Union, passed away on May 24, 2026, at the Oaks at Westminster Woods, Huntingdon, following a year-long battle with brain cancer. Born March 9, 1943, in Mount Union, he was the son of the late Gerald R. Clark, Sr. and Dorothy (Parsons) Clark. He was united in marriage to the late Brenda J. (Yeager) Clark on September 16, 1967, in the former Presbyterian Church of Mapleton by the Rev. James Matz. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Brenda, and in-laws Walter E. and Audrey Yeager. He is survived by his two children, Jonathan Clark and his wife, Jill, of Mount Union, and Lori Zanic and her husband, George, of Huntingdon; two grandchildren, Savannah (Zanic) Laub and Nicholas Zanic; two step-grandsons, Nicholas Prough and Richard Prough; and his step-great-granddaughter, Raemah Prough. He is also survived by his brother, Joseph L. Clark, and his wife, Betty, of Mount Union. Jerry was a 1961 graduate of Captain Jack High School, Mount Union. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Mount Union, serving as a Trustee and an adult Sunday school teacher for many years. Jerry worked as a mail carrier at the Mount Union Post Office for 42 years, retiring in 2003. Additionally, he served four terms on the Mount Union Borough Planning Commission. Friends and neighbors will remember Jerry for befriending every dog in Mount Union and sitting on his front porch with his beloved bearded dragon, Suki. Friends and family will be received Wednesday, May 27, 2026, from 5:00 – 7:00 in the Heath-Anderson Funeral Home and Thursday, May 28, 2026, from 10:00 – 11:00 with a service at 11:00. Mrs. Deborah Lear officiant. Interment to follow at the Mount Union Borough Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mount Union Presbyterian Church, 2 E. Shirley Street, Mount Union, PA 17066. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
