Wirrick, Gay Rosalie, 90, Lilly, passed away September 10, 2023 at Martha’s Manor, Lilly. Born August 15, 1933, Old Fields, WV, daughter of the late Carson and Ollie (Weatherholtz) Baldwin. Preceded in death by her sisters, Mary E. Shoemaker and Katherine Walls; and brothers, Luther, Bob, Omer and Wayne Baldwin. Survived by her loving husband of 57 years, John A. Wirrick; daughters, Priscilla Ritchey; and Ruth Smith-Miller and husband, Clark; grandchildren, Josh Ritchey and girlfriend, Brooke; Joseph Ritchey and wife, Taylor; Nicole DeGol and husband, Dylan; and Chad Smith and girlfriend, Vee; and two great-grandchildren, Tandon Ritchey and Jaina DeGol, with another great-grandchild on the way. Gay worked as a sewing machine operator, then as a presser for a dry cleaner, and then she became a homemaker. Gay loved singing and playing gospel music on her guitar and piano. In her early years, she would travel and sing with her niece, Mary Parsons as the Gospel Duet. Gay enjoyed reading, crocheting and making crafts. Most importantly, she cherished spending time with her family and grandchildren. At her request, a private viewing will be held for her family.
