Koons, Gary L., 62, Cresson, died Sept. 16, 2017, at UPMC Altoona. Born Aug. 8, 1955, in Cresson, son of Robert M. and Janet (Jones) Koons. Preceded in death by mother; sister, Mara "Tink" Tickerhoof; and nephew, Jarod Driskel. Survived by father; children: Chad Koons, Sarah Glunt and Rachel Koons; grandchildren: Devin, Masen, Caleb, Caden, Conner, Caiden and Adriana; and great-grandchildren: Zoie and Jayce. Also survived by sisters: Denise Slebodnick (Cutzie); Diane Koons; Marsha McDevitt; and Michelle Jones (Dan); numerous nieces and nephews; and best friend, Tony DelGrande. Gary loved the high life and his scooter, Jazzy. Friends received from 9 a.m. until time of service at noon, Friday, Oct. 6th, at Charles M. Kennedy Funeral Home, Cresson, Rev. Leo Arnone.
