Gary F. Hall

Hall, Gary F., 75, Cresson, died Dec. 22, 2017, at Presbyterian Village, Hollidaysburg. Born Sept. 6, 1942, in Gallitzin, son of the late Francis H. and Mary Thelma (Galligan) Hall. Preceded in death by wife, Theresa (Eckenrode); brother, Daniel; and sisters, Elinor Kennedy and Jeannine Hall. Survived by sons: James, Altoona; and Richard (Coral Hyle), Georgia; grandchildren, Jordon and Missy; great-granddaughter, Aislyn; siblings: Linda Moran, Cresson; William (Kathy), Gallitzin; Donald (Charlene), Amsbry; Suzanne Vasas, Gallitzin; Patty Jo Driskel, Loretto; Christine Johns (Mark), Altoona; and Maureen Delegram (Patrick), Cresson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Navy veteran of the Viet Nam War. Retired as a coal miner from Mine 33, Ebensburg, after 25 years of service, then worked as a child care aide at Ebensburg Center, also retiring from there. Member of St. Francis Xavier Parish, and American Legion, Post 238, both of Cresson; and Sankertown V.F.W. Post 7377. Friends received from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Charles M. Kennedy Funeral Home, Cresson, where vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis Xavier Church, Rev. Matthew Reese.
