Obituary

Parks, Fern E., 86, Mount Union, passed away Thursday, September 30, 2021, at Penn Highlands Huntingdon. Born February 25, 1935, Huntingdon, son of the late Chesley G. and Linny A. (Fink) Parks. Preceded in death by loving wife, Ruth J. (Banks) Parks; daughter, Tina M. Boozel; 9 grandchildren and siblings, Kenny Parks, Selwyn Parks, Luther Parks, Marie Lane and a baby Parks. Survived by daughter, Annette L. Bilger, Mount Union; Terry L. Parks and wife, Helen, Mount Union; and Michele L. Stains and husband, Mark, Three Springs; 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Faye Funston, Alfred Parks, Beverly Corl and Jerry Parks. Fern enjoyed bowling and bowled in various leagues. He was an avid and skilled woodworker. Fern also liked to work on and build tractors for tractor pulls. He was most happy when spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held on October 16, 2021, at the 1st Assembly of God Church, 611 N Jefferson St, Mt Union, PA 17066, at 10 a.m. Pastor Steven Sinclair, officiant.
